I've managed to get the TS Lenny Distro working very well on the SD Card.

Summary of steps:
1) dd 512mbsd-latest.dd to /dev/sdb
2) Ungzipp, untar the lenny distro
3) mkfs.ext3 on partition 4 (mkfs.ext3 /dev/sdb4)
4) Copyied the leny distro to partition 4 (cp -a ./lenny/* part4mount)
5) Rebooted w/ SD Card
6) Setup everything as needed

All good so far. Running Lenny on 7800 booting from SD, working great.

7) Did a Createmtdroot to copy to the onboard flash, reboot
8) upon startup, even w/o an SD card in the slot, it now tries to boot from SD
(strange), and when that fails, takes me to fastboot prompt.

PROBLEM:
9) When I exit the fastboot, it will this time try to boot from flash, but I
get SEVERAL SEGMENTATION FAULTS during the cleanboot.sh script and nothing is
working correctly.

Just to be sure I'm not having hardware problems...

I did a createmtdroot from the original sarge distro sd, and I can boot fine to
flash.

(by the way I found this site very helpful:

What step(s) am I missing?
