Thanks for the reply, here's some more details:

I have a ts7300, it's running Debian 3.1 on flash. I've mounted the ts-2.6 Kernel source on a nfs under /mnt/nfs/linux.  I'm trying to use the compiler on the ts7300 (gcc version 3.3.5) to compile the kernel. I have the default configuration for ts7300 in .config. I've changed CROSS_COMPILE in the Makefile to blank.  When I run "make vmlinux" it sits endlessly repeating:

scripts/kconfig/conf -s arch/arm/Kconfig
drivers/crypto/cesa/Kconfig:16:warning: type of 'MV_CESA_TEST' redefined from 'tristate' to 'boolean'

Thanks.

A source tree is not set up for cross comilation or native, it is a source tree.

You need to state what you are doing and what is not as you expect rather than just says "it seems to be ..." and letting us guess.

What system are you running , what is your compiler and what is not working?
