That's without the Maverick Crunch instructions.  Using those FP instructions 
adds another speed increase, but it's not nearly as dramatic as EABI.

There's been some recent work on gcc by Martin Guy, closing some of the corner 
cases where crunch wouldn't pass strict IEEE FP torture tests, and working 
around the known & discovered chip errata.  So be sure to find his patched gcc 
if you want to use crunch:

I'd recommend getting an EABI system in working order before turning on crunch 
code generation.
