Hi Martin How are you…

In these days I are in the same, I compiled a 2.6 kernel & run in a 7250

You can see the short tutorial in

http://www.embeddedarm.com/software/arm-linux-26-ts72xx.php

If you have any questions, I think that I can help you.

I currently running a 2.6 kernel

ftp://ftp.embeddedarm.com/ts-arm-sbc/ts-7200-linux/sources/tskernel-2.6.21-ts-src.tar.gz

ftp://ftp.embeddedarm.com/ts-arm-sbc/ts-7200-linux/cross-toolchains/crosstool-linux26-3.4.4-2005q3-2.tar.gz

With a debian

ftp://ftp.embeddedarm.com/ts-arm-sbc/ts-7200-linux/distributions/debian-sarge-udev-11-15-2007.tar.gz

in a 7250 with a 2 gb usb memory card.

I’m looking in these days for a newest kernel than 2.6.21 provided by Technologic.s

Regards

Hi. I am sure this is one of the most frequently asked questions, but I would like to find it frequently answered.

Given a stock TS7250 running 2.4.26 as shipped by Technologic, what steps are required to compile (or simply just load) a 2.6 kernel?

Where does the userland come from?

What do I need in /lib?

How do I set up busybox and /bin etc?

If I can get a clear answer to this, I am more than happy to host the answer somewhere for the benefit of all.

I had thought Yan Seiner's wiki would help, but it seems to be rusting - "Maintainer sought".

Martin
