Hi Matthew, Unfortunately I had to ignore the issue as I was running out of time as the final year project dead line is approaching soon, well next week! I started the application with a higher process priority using the nice command and it seems to have improved things. Ever since then I havn't seen any problem missing characters, maybe the slight odd time alright but I am still on the sd card. It will take me a bit to get everything onto the flash now, well probably not long but I don't want to go messing now as everything is working way I want it. I didn't try turning on XON/XOFF but I don't even think the device I'm communicating supports that anyways. Thanks, Regards, Donal On Thu, Apr 30, 2009 at 2:31 PM, Matthew Harrell <> wrote:
