You will need to configure the TS-7800 board as a USB gadget. This requires
recompiling the kernel to remove the drivers that make the TS-7800 an USB host,
and compiling the modules to load to allow the board to work as a USB client.
There are no specific drivers for the kernel version we are using, I ended up
modifying the USB gadget drivers for another chipset to work with the chipset
on the TS-7800
I currently have my TS-7800 working as a serial device when I plug a custom
made USB-A to USB-A cable between the board and PC. With the g_serial drivers
loaded into windows XP, the board enumerates as a COMM port on Windows. And
the application on the board is able to communicate to the PC as if it was
connected via a RS-232 cable.
I'm nearing the end of our product launch, after which I will get the
documentation needed to do this, and submit it to the wiki for everyones use.
