Hello all,
I've been trying to get ssh working on my TS-7260 in Debian for the last few
days. The problem I'm having is that, while configured (as far as I can tell)
correctly, sshd won't start. It won't start at boot like it's supposed to and
I can't start it myself either. It doesn't give any error messages or anything
- it looks like it started fine but when I do a "ps -e" it doesn't show up.
Originally, it was complaining about the non-existent keys - so I generated
some. It didn't like those, so I just used apt-get to uninstall ssh and
install it again. About an hour ago I got fed up with it and tried to get
dropbear working - dropbear at least started (I could see it in ps -e), but I
was unable to connect to it (ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by
remote host) from my PC. The SBC has Internet working correctly and my
hosts.deny file is empty while hosts.allow has just one line (ALL: 192.168.)
that allows anyone on the local network to connect.
I'd appreciate any help. I've also tried running ssh on an untouched Debian
(I'm using USB btw - downloaded the image and used that to get a blank slate),
and that gives the same problem. I also got exasperated at one point and fell
back to telnet, but it seems that wouldn't start either; plus I'm going to be
accessing this over a wireless network so I'd really prefer ssh.
Thanks!
Aditya
