Dan,
I don't have an answer for you, but I can tell you that I ran into the same
problem, however I was never lucky enough to get it to boot up at all. I
thought that I would be able to take the image, delete the contents of the
partition, replace them with my own filesystem, and follow the process that I
would normally, but it appears to be more involved than that and I haven't
found much information on what the proper process is. I have been told that
the problem is likely because of the way the filesystem needs to be written to
NAND as it works differently, but I would have thought the createmtdroot
command would have handled that.
Would anyone be able to provide some information on the best way to put a
custom filesystem on one of these devices once one has been built (NFS, QEMU,
whatever)? I have a TS-7800 as well. I'm not new to Linux, but I am new to
using it on an embedded device and the nuances of using NAND.
Thanks
Paul
