I can add an insmod /any_directory/zd_b.o (which I downloaded from the
www.embeddedarm.com site) to bring up the radio automatically.
The problem is iwconfig. When I run iwconfig, with the rest of iwtools in the
same directory, I get the following error:
./iwconfig: error while loading shared libraries: libiw.so.28: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory
The 'libiw.so.28' file is sitting in the same directory as iwconfig, and I've
also copied it into the /lib directory, but no go.
The other thing to try is bypassing iwconfig altogether, and creating an
ifcfg-wlan0 file that tells the radio to connect with the IP address that I
want to the Ad-Hoc network that I want. Any clues on syntax? Right now, my
/etc/sysconfig/efcfg-wlan0 file looks like:
DEVICE=wlan0
IPADDR=192.168.0.52
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
BROADCAST=192.168.0.255
ESSID=climbing-pc
MODE=Ad-Hoc
BOOTPROTO=STATIC
ENABLE=no
I made enable=no so that I could run:
$loadUSBModules.sh
$insmod /home/zd_b.o
before bringing up wlan0 with:
$ifconfig wlan0 192.168.0.52 up
After doing this though, I can't ping in or out. I know I'm close.....
