I have always used the cross toolchain from the ftp:
ftp://ftp.embeddedarm.com/ts-arm-sbc/ts-7260-linux/cross-toolchains/crosstool-linux-gcc-4.0.1-glibc-2.3.5.tar.bz2

But if you want to build kernel modules you need to do so with the
same compiler the kernel was built with: you either rebuild the kernel
or download the right compiler. I think the 2.4 kernels from TS have
been built with gcc 3.3
