Try freemodbus, available at freemodbus.berlios.de/ , if you want a
Modbus/RTU slave. For a Modbus/RTU master, so far, the only one I
found is libmodbus, at https://launchpad.net/libmodbus , which doesn't
do everything I want it to (the code for reading ID strings, for
example, is broken), but works nonetheless. I may write my own when I
get the time.
