Hi Everyone,

Using a TS7200 booting to Debian on the CF card and I'm working on an application that requires a serial interface.  I'm trying to get the communications working on COM2 and not succeeding.  The test applications I've been playing with have been behaving strangely and most importantly, attempting to read the incoming data fails.

Searching through the message archive, there was mention of someone having a similar problem and a suggestion to check and be sure that they had disabled the serial console on that interface because two apps can't share the same port.

I think this is my problem... or at least part of it.

Out of curiosity, I set a terminal emulator up on COM2 at 115KN81 and sure enough on a reboot it popped up a login prompt for ttyAM1 at the same time as the console (on ttyAM0) I'm using for normal work showed the prompt.

I haven't been able to figure out how to disable this on COM2.  Any suggestions?  Google hasn't been very helpful so far.

Steve
