And if it wouldn't crash with route it would crash in different part. You're
using acm module so I bet, that you're using TS kernel. If I were you, I
would try some latest 2.6 kernel, althought it isn't bug free either[1].

It's kernel, mainly tty/usb/serial problems. Nothing to do with USB power.

Do you use same kernel as on ts-7400 on your laptop? :)
