[ts-7000] Compiling TS-7200 Kernel

Hello,

I am trying to compile the TS-Kernel on an ubuntu 8.10 system. I
followed the directions in http://www.ovro.caltech.edu/~dwh/ts7300/ to
the letter in order to get the make modules_install to work. When I
run the 4th step on page 14 ( the make part) I get 
../../modutils-2.4.26/obj/obj_kallsyms.c:204: error: lvalue required
as left operand of assignment
../../modutils-2.4.26/obj/obj_kallsyms.c:279: error: lvalue required
as left operand of assignment
make[1]: *** [obj_kallsyms.o] Error 1

I am using the crosstool with gcc-3.3.4-glibc-2.3.2

I have followed the directions exactly (with the exception of where I
placed my build files)

Any help would be much appreciated.
