The scsi directory is probably not the proper place for them but I don't
know if it matters as long as it works. Did you reboot the machine and
do a "ifconfig -a" to see if there is a new newtorking device? Even
without rebooting you can do a "depmod -a" and then modprobe the
proper module to see if it gets loaded fine and gives you a new interface
As far as wireless stuff goes you need to make sure you have the
wireless-tools package and then you should be able to add the wireless
info into the interfaces section like this
iface wireless inet dhcp
wireless-essid Example
wireless-mode Managed
wireless-key 24954A6841BF5357414594E5EF
at least that's how it works on other Debian systems. I haven't tried
it on the TS series yet. The wireless-tools package should provide you
with iwconfig which will let you do all the settings you want on the
commandline to test and ensure that the network is working
