I realize this is an old thread and have looked at the manual. I think I bit
off more than I
can chew but am giving it one more time before giving up. I have a TS7200

I want to boot from a CF card since I am worried about bricking the board and
would for
other reasons that go with the final goal (a data acquisition system for my
motorcycle).
When I load the kernel though it fails with the above command. I have Sarge on
a 1GB
ext2 formatted CF card with the kernel at /boot/zimage-7200-ts11 and copied the
modules of 2.4..26-ts11 into /lib/modules.

When I attempt to boot using "load -r -b 0x00218000 -m disk hda1:/boot/zimage-
7200-ts11" I get "e2fs_open: e2fs_inode_lookup failed" my boot rom is 1.05
which is
older but I am not sure how to get at a replacement from reboot if the CF card
fails...
(maybe put it in from the TS side)
