I have a custom built board with 16550 UART on it. In general it
works great, but it isn't always detected by the TS7250 on cold boot.
During a warm boot it is detected just fine. On a cold boot tf I
stop the redboot and do a reset a three or four times COM4 will
eventually be detected.
At Cold boot I get this output:
>> Off-board serial at: COM3
On a warm boot I get this output:
>> Off-board serial at: COM3 COM4
I've pasted the complete boot logs below.
My questions are:
1. Has anyone seen any serial devices that behave this way?
2. If it is a timing issue, where would I find the code that controls
the initial boot process? Is this redboot code or firmware from
Technologic Systems?
Thanks,
Tom Johnson
At Cold boot I get this output:
