After sometime I had another go at two USB devices that I couldn't get
working on ts7800 boards - a Griffin iMic and Maxon BP3 3g wireless modem.
This had been frustrating as both worked on a ts7200 running the same
EABI kernel & userland.

I upgraded to the latest 2.6.21-ts kernel (oct102008) and interposed a
hub and both started working. Using snd-usb-audio I can capture sound
from the iMic and using the airprime kernel module (patched to add the
BP3 USB id) I can establish internet connections.

Neither works connected directly to the ts7800 board - only via USB hub.
I'm sure I tried connecting the devices via a hub previously - maybe I
wasn't careful in my testing or maybe the more recent 2.6.21-ts makes
a difference.

No idea what the cauise is, but if a USB device doesn't work with a
ts7800 try connecting it via a hub.

On a separate note, someone last year asked about a fixed point
fft for the ts7200. This one is definitely worth looking at:
