Hi, here are a couple of comments and suggestions...
1. If you are using the TS9445 board for the console, it apparently

I have only done fdisk on my laptop but be sure to type the command
'w' in fdisk after you set things up or it will not write any changes!
if you are doing 'q' before performing a 'w' then it's time lost.
In a worst case scenario, you could do this using a card reader on a
PC or laptop with fdisk...

If the above doesn't work and you are adventurous, you can install a
newer version of fdisk on debian from the lenny debian version. Just
add the line:
'deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian lenny main'
to your '/etc/apt/sources.list'
Then run 'apt-get update' followed by 'apt-get install [fdisk
package]/testing'
(replace [fdisk package] by the name of the package containing fdisk
application (I can't remember it right now).
