--- I'm not exactly sure but maybe the compiler with which the 
gdbserver was built had some issues.  What you say sounds correct 
however I think you should build gdbserver from the scratch since you 
might have different libraries, environmental 
variables, etc other than those on your SD card.

--- Why would you need gcc with TS-Linux? You've said you had a 
crosstool chain installed on your linux desktop computer. Use it.
