Charlie, You said to check by 'cat /proc/timer_list ... There are 2 timers (ktime_get_real, ktime_get), both with resolution of 10000000ns (10ms)... For my immediate needs 50hz will have to be sufficient, b/c I'm new to the linux world and looking at what I could find in the messages, I haven't been able to get my head around just what it would take to improve this... until I can find some step by step instructions on doing so, I don't think I'm ready to tackle rebuilding the kernel. I suppose I could get up to 100hz by not usleep[ing] but I don't want to choke the cpu... I'll have to play. Thanks for your help. Eric
