Hello,
I have a TS7250 and am working to make a USB camera functional.
I am using kernel 2.4.26-ts9, and the Logitech quickcam USB drivers.
quickcam.o and videodev.o appear to insmod OK, like so:
$ insmod videodev.o
Using /lib/modules/2.4.26-ts9/kernel/drivers/video/videodev.o
$ insmod quickcam.o
Using /lib/modules/2.4.26-ts9/kernel/drivers/usb/quickcam.o
$ lsmod
Module Size Used by Not tainted
quickcam 63124 0 (unused)
videodev 6584 0 (unused)
usb-storage 55912 0 (unused)
sd_mod 11100 0 (unused)
scsi_mod 53704 1 [usb-storage sd_mod]
usb-ohci-ep93xx 888 0 (unused)
usb-ohci 15528 0 [usb-ohci-ep93xx]
pcipool 2072 1 [usb-ohci-ep93xx usb-ohci]
usbcore 55888 0 [quickcam usb-storage usb-ohci]
vfat 10140 0 (unused)
fat 29608 0 [vfat]
$
The above was on a networked telnet connection -- meanwhile on the
serial minicom connection (and plugging in the camera):
Linux video capture interface: v1.00
usb.c: registered new driver quickcam
hub.c: new USB device not_pci-3, assigned address 4:
quickcam: QuickCam USB camera found (driver version QuickCam USB 0.6.6
$Date: 2006/11/04 08:38:14 $)
quickcam: Kernel:2.4.26-ts9 bus:1 class:FF subclass:FF vendor:046D
product:0870
quickcam: Sensor HDCS-1020 detected
quickcam: Registered device: /dev/video0
I have also created what I believe is the appropriate node:
$ ls -l /dev/vi*
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 81, 0 Jan 1 03:33 /dev/video0
$
$
All seems well up to this point, but when I attempt
to test the camera using testquickcam I get:
$ ./testquickcam /dev/video0 -r
Device /dev/video0 couldn't be opened
$
I apparently have missed something. Can someone point me in the
right direction?
Thanks in advance....
