While troubleshooting things on our TS-7250 boards, I've booted a
few times from an NFS server where I put the files extracted from
ftp://ftp.embeddedarm.com/ts-arm-sbc/ts-7250-linux/distributions/debian-sarge-256MB-05-01-2006.tar.bz2
Unfortunately, when it boots I get a bunch of errors from modprobe
because modules.dep doesn't exist. It turns out that the kernel is
ts11, but the distro above is only ts10, which is causing my problems,
since the module directory name is based on the distro.
I'm going to waste yet another hour downloading
debian-sarge-udev-11-15-2007.tar.gz
from the same folder, in the hope that it might be the correct version
to match the kernel that was provided by Technologic.
If anyone knows the true and correct file to download for use in
booting ts11 from an NFS server, (a) I'd love to learn the path/name
and (b) I'd also love to know how you found out: Is there any
documentation on the ftp server that explains the files; did someone
from Technologic tell you; or did you just keep trying different
images until you found one that worked?
