[ts-7000] how to create NFS file system

hello,
I followed this step to make NFS file system for 7200 (2.4 kernel)
using debian-sarge i am using Ubuntu desktop (2.6 kernel)

1st step: Under parent directory I make directory by the name nfsroot.
2nd step: permission that directory (nfsroot)
3rd step: untar the file (debian-sarge) under nfsroot
4th step: permission all the file
can any one tell is this right way and after this what i have to do?  
shall i put next step like this or 

:/nfsroot# 10.172.1.159/255.255.255.0
I download all the nfs package from the synaptic package. 
please give me idea.
