Hi,

I was looking for embedded linux systems. My main intention is to run
a voip application on this system. I require sound recording and an
internet connection. Connection may be done by ethernet or a usb
wireless adaptor or a pci/104 card. But while searching on this
mailing list, I saw that people were having difficulties about sound.
I intend to use a usb microphone to get analog voice, and then do
something to convert it to digital. But I'm not yet sure if any
problems may occur with debian about sound recording (I'm sure that
debian will recognize most of the products but I'm a bit scared about
reading those things about sound.)

A second thing is that can I connect a small lcd monitor to show a
gui? Or is it just the console?

Also I would like to ask if ts-7800 is suitable for such a desktop
like application? Maybe another model with some vga output can be more
easy but I don't know.

I would be glad if you could help me.

Thank you for your time and patience

Roy Simkes
