Did you ever find a solution to this. A new 7200 I got just last
week is doing exactly the same thing. I received the board.
Installed it in the pannel in the field. Ethernet was lighting up
(link/activity) when I plugged it into my laptop but I didn't have
time to finish setting it up so I pulled it off of the pannel it was
installed on and brought it back with me.
Now the ethernet port lights won't light up and when I try to ping
anything on the network the watchdog message comes up. In the boot
messages you can see it is enabling eth0.
Anything else I can do to see if it needs to just go back. Tried
different cables and ports on the switch including one that was
working for a different server.
