Cache the data on ramdisk.
If you are writing to flash, you will loose characters.
Flash updates disable interrupts long enough to miss characters.

I'm using a TS-7800 in a MODBUS application (/dev/ttts2, half duplex,
RS485). I am losing bytes on the receive side. This seems to be related
to the amount of data and also, perhaps, SD card access i.e. it gets
worse under load. The basic i/o code is proven on other Linux platforms
(including a TS-7250) and all I've changed is the driver/board specific
initialisation.

Is anybody else using tsuart ports on the TS-7800 and seeing anything
similar or have any suggestions as to why this might be happening?

Thanks,

James
