I said I would get back to you on this. It has taken me a lot longer
than I thought it would. I could not find any usb wifi adapters that
used the Zydas chip set except the ones at newegg made by IOGear that
had such bad reviews. The reason I wanted the adapters that were based
on the Zydas chips was because they supported master mode. I found a
Belken wifi adapter at Tigerdirect that uses the RT73 driver. It does
not support master mode, so I had to adapt my system design to use
ad-hoc mode. Other than that, it works great.
The Belken Part Number is F5D7050.
Technologic directed me to a Linksys WUSB54GC that also used the RT73
driver. It can be obtained from newegg.
