Hi,
I've been trying to compile a more recent glibc for my board, (2.5), and
I was hoping that someone would have some insight as to the --with-cpu=
and --with-fpu= options to glibc's configure.
I would like it to work with
--with-cpu=arm920t --with-fpu=maverick
but it seems to be the classic case of DWIMNWIS
(do what i mean, not what i say).
I properly extracted glibc-linuxthreads-2.5, glibc-ports-2.5,
glibc-libidn-2.5, etc, and they all seem to register with ./configure
properly.
Then I did a bit of digging into ports and it seems to not even check
for CPU specifications in the makefile, and just returns an error saying
that
"the ep93xx subspecies of arm is not supported"
I've gotten the same thing with ep9312, ep9301, arm920t, 920t, etc.
Any ideas? Am I missing some necessary patches that haven't yet made it
to upstream?
~/Chris
