Yep I had that problem, when I used minicom. I tried hyperterm under
windows and didn't have that problem. I had set the baud rate correctly
in both cases.
In Minicom, I had not set the hardware and software flow control to
off. To set the minicom flow control to off, start minicom with the
command minicom -s, select serial port setup, then turn the flow
control to off.
I had problems finding the flow control settings by starting minicom
first then looking through help. I also could not find it in the manual,
but I might not have looked hard enough there.
