You'll have to convert to JFIF file to the same format as the framebuffer first, that is a 16 bit 565 RGB 640x480 ( if thats the display type you're using)

 

There is some sample code on converting bmp's to the fb format on the yahoo ts7000 files page.

 

Though you should at least still get junk appearing with a jpg file, might not be page flipping or something

I am trying to display the pictures i have captured in a web cam to the display

i have connected the ts7kv to my 7250 board (2.4 Kernel) and inserted the following modules

 

1.ts7kvfb.o

fbgen.o

fbcon-cfb16.o

 

i used the following command to diaplay the picture on the vga display

 

cat myphoto.jpg > /dev/fb/0

 

but nothing is displayed

 

the moment i insmoded the above modules the display displays the following

 

c ; systems ts-arm linux v

i think the display enterd inot hte console mode ?/

 how to come out and display my pictures on the display
