I have to pair a Bluetooth digital pen (Nokia SU-1B) with my debian
7200. In debian (2.4.26) I installed the bluez packages and installed
an USB Bluetooth dongle. I think the problem is that I can't send the
PIN to the pen. The computer must initiate the bonding so I tried :
I executed hciconfig
hci0: Type: USB
BD Address: 00:11:67:5F:44:C2 ACL MTU: 678:8 SCO MTU: 48:10
UP RUNNING PSCAN
RX bytes:5171 acl:0 sco:0 events:242 errors:0
TX bytes:2706 acl:0 sco:0 commands:136 errors:0
OK everything fine so far. In my /etc/bluetooth/hcid.conf I put my
Digital Pen Pin Number : 1234 :
options {
autoinit yes;
security auto;
pairing multi;
passkey "1234";
}
device {
name "%h-%d";
class 0x3e0100;
#pkt_type DH1,DM1,HV1;
iscan enable; pscan enable;
lm accept;
lp rswitch,hold,sniff,park;
}
Then I execute hcitool scan :
00:07:CF:56:BB:54 Pen LZ7154502GD
Everything ok but when I execute :
hcitool cc 00:07:CF:56:BB:54
I get the message : "Can't create connection: Connection timed out".
In the hcidump I don't get any reply for the PIN code request :
< HCI Command: Create Connection (0x01|0x0005) plen 13
> HCI Event: Command Status (0x0f) plen 4
> HCI Event: PIN Code Request (0x16) plen 6
> HCI Event: Connect Complete (0x03) plen 11
I read in the man pages for /etc/bluetooth/hcid.conf that the PIN
option is set for incoming connections since the computer is
initiating this option is irrelevant. Am I right ?
I tried http://times.usefulinc.com/2004/06/07-nokia-su-1b but it
didn't work. I confess I don't know much about DUND and all. But I
think that the script on this link didn't work because I don't have
any graphical environment installed.
Can anyone give me any ideas or point me where I can find help on
this ? I really need this problem solved.
Thanks in advance.
