What it is doing that you don't expect? :-) One thing to note is that you need to jump through some hoops if you want console output. Note how the lines surrounding the shell spawning are explicitly redirected to the console... > ( >[...] > ) <$CONSOLE >$CONSOLE 2>&1 You may want to surround your own lines with that if you are expecting messages to confirm what is going on.
