I've done all my compilation for my programs running on the TS-7200 by
booting from the Debian CF card that I got from T.S. and using the gcc
compiler they included there. The gdb debugger is on there too. I
use an old DOS box as a terminal (running Commo), my favorite old DOS
editor (AEDIT) and just ZMODEM the files over to the CF card. I agree
with Ilya in that the few seconds I might save by cross-compiling on a
faster machine isn't worth the trouble but then again, I've never had
to compile the kernel.
Is it POSSIBLE to compile the kernel using the gcc compiler that TS
supplies on the CF card? (assuming you have space to untar the
kernel modules on the CF card.. I made a 512MB CF card so I have lots
of space).
