Hi Laks,

Thanks for your help I am posting your response to me here for others
to benefit:

To stop the error: 

> ./spcacat: error while loading shared libraries:libpthread.so.0: can
not open shared objectfile: no such file or directory

You need to download the libpthread.so.0 (possibly also the
libpthread-0.10.so) file to the /lib directory on the TS-7250 SBC.
These files can be found by downloading and extracting the
debian-sarge-256MB-05-01-2006.tar.bz2 file from the
www.embeddedarm.com web site. When the file has been extracted to a pc
the required files will be found in /lib directory.
