I use NFS. I export an area on my linux dev. box and mount it from the TS
board.

I'd question whether you want a "simple" editor if you are wanting to
develop code. My advice is to try and master vi or one of the modern
variants, vin/gvim, or even emacs. Mickey mouse text editors are 2 a penny
and while you may get off the ground quickly their limitations don't take
long to become apparant once the job gets more demanding.

I'd recommend, if you are new to linux, that you set up a linux desktop
and do your dev there. It's amazing how much is common in the linux world,
from a small linux sbc tru' to the big multi-processor superfast servers.
