I have found two _different_ slowdowns with the ETH1 port on the TS7300.
First, if you have a TS-SER4 card running on ISA IRQ7, it steps on the
FPGA's ARM interrupt 40 and causes the ETH1 port to only respond to
packets when there is serial data coming in one of the SER4's ports.
(_That_ was fun to find...)
Second, if there's traffic on the network that the ETH1 port is
plugged into, the port starts to slow down all by itself. I don't
know much about that, except that when it happens, you can "rmmod" the
driver and "insmod" it back in, and the port is back up to full speed.
This could doubtless be repaired in the driver code, but I don't have
any more info to help with debugging except to say that it IS NOT the
same as the interrupt collision problem.
Cheers,
Phil Salkie
