This question pops up periodically, and you have a few choices. I use
jamvm and the gnu classpath, and I've also posted some instructions on
building which can be found if you do a search through the archives here:

I believe after compiling everything yourself following the method that
I suggest in a previous post you'll have a very trimmed down gnu
classpath. You may want to include some other locale information that
I've not included.
Alternatively, you could use the debian 256 arm distro provided by TS on
a usb root filesystem or sdcard filesystem, and it's as easy as
apt-get install jikes, apt-get install jamvm, apt-get install
jikes-classpath.
