At home I am running Fedora on a laptop that will serve as my dev
platform and want to start coding for one of these ARM boards. The
question is, what would someone recommend as the simplest
configuration for starting out. I plan to monitor via VT100 emulation
on COM1, and I want COM2 to send data out of the board. DHCP will
register the board on my domain.
Ultimately I want the wireless ARM module to DHCP to my wiresss domain
and start running, and I love the idea of the TS-WIFIBOX Tiny
WiFi-enabled Box Application Kit, but that may not be the best choice
as a first development system, or is it if its my ultimate goal?
I have been looking at the TS-7200 ARM Single Board Computer, but I
dont know the subtle advantages of one system over another. Also If I
want to run java (j2me?) how much memory would I need. I guess I am
not afraid of C, but I am a way better Java developer.
So any guidance is appreciated.
