I was able to get it working again. It turns out it was a problem
with minicom but I was unable to figure out what it was. In the end
it was plugged into hyperterminal which would communicate with it
correctly.

After loading all the files:
1) download the eeprom file for the 7260 from
ftp://ftp.embeddedarm.com/images/preboot/ts7260-default
2) download the bootrom image from
ftp://ftp.embeddedarm.com/images/tsbootrom/ts7260-32-default
3) download the redboot image from
ftp://ftp.embeddedarm.com/images/redboot/ts7260-32-kernel

and writing them according to those previous instructions we still
encountered some problems. When we tried to restart after removing
JP1 we received a "starting initial burn-in" message and it wouldn't
boot.

We tried doing the 'eeprom_write' a few more times and the third time
we did it, it worked, and the board booted up again. I think it may
have been when we rebuilt serial_blaster changing the boot.S to
#define FLASH 1, though it could have been something else.

Thank you for your tips.
