Greetings,

Has anyone set up a TS-72xx to be an ntpd time server using the PPS
pulse supplied by the Garmin GPS 18 LVC?

I purchased one of them and will soon have it wired up and am
wondering if there is anything specific that I need to know. The 5
VDC power and other RS-232 wiring seem pretty straight forward.

I understand that gpsd can be used for part of this, and that it
expects to see the PPS pulse on the Carrier Detect (CD) line on the
RS-232 interface. I have TS-7260s, so that means COM1 must be used,
as neither COM2 or COM3 have the CD line connected. I want to retain
use of the serial console, and jumper JP4 will let me redirect the
console to COM2

Anyone have any other suggestions or tips?

Regards,

jw
