Thanks heaps, this is exactly what I was looking for!
Now I have 2.6.21 running nicely on my ts7250 :-
ts7250 ~ $ uname -a
Linux ts7250 2.6.21-gentoo-ts7250 #3 PREEMPT Sun Jun 17 17:41:02 EST 2007
armv4tl unknown
nand seems happy although i'm not using it just yet - still says blocks 1
and 110 are bad, but mounts just fine anyway, so they're probably real
worn out blocks in the flash or something..
I've changed the CLOCK_TICK_RATE in include/asm-arm/arch-ep93xx/timex.h to
983084 (was 983040) as it seems to keep the system clock far closer to
reality.
Another curious thing I came across is that busybox's mdev only creates a
tiny subset of necessary nodes in 2.6.21 - mtdblocks, loop, rtc nodes but
no tty* or pty* or console, random etc despite seeming to create a full
set under 2.6.19. 'deprecated sysfs files' option in kernel made no
difference.
I'm currently using a tarball of static entries to get around this, but
that's a kludge I'd prefer to avoid.
Any suggestions for things to investigate are welcome :)
