Probably a dumb question, but I don't have /dev/video0. What creates
these device nodes? I am booting the ts11 kernel from the CF, and
mounting the Debian Sarge root file system.
RedBoot> load -b 0x00218000 -m disk hda1:/boot/vmlinux-ts11
RedBoot> exec -c "console=ttyAM0,115200 ip=dhcp root=/dev/hda1"
I'm trying to access a webcam via pwc. It is recognized:
:root# lsusb
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0471:0329 Philips
But there is a curious message at the tail of dmesg:
usb.c: registered new driver usbdevfs
usb.c: registered new driver hub
usb-ohci.c: USB OHCI at membase 0xe0020000, IRQ 56
usb.c: new USB bus registered, assigned bus number 1
hub.c: USB hub found
hub.c: 3 ports detected
hub.c: new USB device not_pci-3, assigned address 2
usb.c: USB device 2 (vend/prod 0x471/0x329) is not claimed by any
active driver.
I guess I don't understand what creates /dev/* nodes. Is it the device
drivers themselves?
Any help would be appreciated.
