Martin,

Thanks for your comment on ftp. I will try your suggestion. 

I have been using the root login for my development so this may very
well be my problem with the ftp not working. I even tried changing the
ip address of the TS-7260 port without any success. It is clear that
the port is functional because it shows the correct green and orange
lights when I connect it to my 4 port switch/router, but it does not
respond when pinged from my PC nor can I find the TS-7260 port using a
special application on my PC that searches for available IP's on a
LAN. Your suggestion seems very logical and I have hopes that it
should work.

I am not sure what you mean when asking "is it ProFTPD on the 7260"?
