I have a TS-7250 and not a 7300 but the procedure should be the same. I had
success mounting a USB drive using the following:

#Install USB-related kernel modules
insmod usbcore
insmod pcipool
insmod usb-ohci
insmod usb-ohci-ep93xx

#Load modules needed to support USB memory devices
insmod scsi_mod
insmod sd_mod
insmod usb-storage

#Mount the USB memory device
mount /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part1 /mnt
