Thanks for the update!
Is your gentoo-based system using eabi? I'm amazed at the FP
improvements, even without using crunch. The FFTW folks have seen
about a factor of *20* increase in their benchmarks just going to eabi.
Also, for the record, AFAIK there is still work to be done to get SD
support working on the TS-7400 (writing a shim to use the object file
from TS), and there may be some work needed to get CF support working
again on the TS-7200.
