Yep, they are both filesystems for the on-board flash. TS has chosen
to use JFFS2 for nor flash, and YAFFS2 for nand flash (I believe ...
somebody chime in if I'm wrong). Both JFFS2 and YAFFS2 have support
for nand flash hardware, but YAFFS2 cannot use nor flash (nand only).
And yep, if you are (re)formatting a flash device, you have to choose
one to use. But in most cases, you should just stick to the
filesystem your device came with.
