Hi Guys
I have a USB-powered 3.5" disk drive which I wish to use during
application development. This device requires a 5V power supply, which
- according to page 41 of the TS-7260 manual - can be activated on the
TS-7260 by setting Bit 1 of register 0x1200_0000.
Now when I "peek8" this register, the result is 0xF (which I assume to
mean 0x0F). This seems to indicate that requisite bit is in fact
already set.
However, when I plug in the disk drive to the USB port, the power
supply on the board "panics", lights up the red and green LEDs close
to the power inlet, and causes the operating system to shutdown. It is
then necessary to cycle the power to reboot the system.
I wonder if anyone else has previously encountered this behaviour, and
if so, knows how to resolve the problem.
With many thanks in advance, I look forward to receiving a flood of
useful suggestions :-)
