Hello all,
We recently uncovered a bug in the Yaffs2 filesystem, we've contacted
the Yaffs developers and have resolved the problem.
Description of bug:
If fchmod is called immediately after several writes, the data will
not be properly written to flash. This won't become apparent until
after the filesystem has been unmounted and remounted.
Software affected:
We have found the original ftp server(pureftpd) we have been shipping
would fchmod a file after it had been written. Therefore file
corruption was occuring when a file was uploaded via ftp. We have
since upgraded to version 1.0.21 of pureftpd(this was an unrelated
issue), and we have found fchmod is no longer called after writing
the file.
