When you set the board to serial the red led should flash once every 8 seconds
and the green led will remain on. If its not doing that then you might not be
in serial mode.
I think you can also contact TS for them to re-flash your board. In many cases
this may be the best solution.
Make sure you remove all USB devices before testing they could be drawing too
much power. You may consider trying a different wall transformer, or testing
how many volts it's giving.
If there is a physical problem with the SDRAM the only thing you can do is
solder off the SDRAM and solder on a new one. This isn't for beginners
either.
SDRAM doesn't often go bad. You'd need to do something to it, like zap it.
EEPROM and NAND flash seem to be easier to corrupt.
The SerialBlaster has a pretty good SDRAM test in it. It might give you more
details of the SDRAM error. But it will only boot on 8 second Watchdog
boards.
